A voice-writing app needs permission to hear you. That doesn't mean its account server needs your voice recordings.
Floquy separates local dictation from account management. The app handles speech and editing on your device where possible. The account service manages identity, devices, and eventually purchases and organizations.
Your journal entries belong to you. If you approve personalization, Floquy can use that local material to adjust your writing profile. That isn't training a shared foundation model.
Local-first isn't the same thing as never connecting to the internet. A device still needs to authenticate, receive updates, and download models. Our privacy policy will identify those uses honestly.
